Northbridge Sailing Club has a small number of Optimist dinghys for rental, that may allow aspiring sailors to "try before they buy". Graduates from basic training in the Club's 'Plastic Optis' can benefit from this arrangement prior to purchasing their own boat.
The number of boats available varies, is influenced by the number of participants in the sailing school and cannot be guaranteed. Rental is in half sailing season periods ie September to December, and January to April, coinciding with intakes to our Learn to Sail courses. Rental of a boat in one period does not guarantee the ability to rent in the following period.
Offer of a rental boat is at the discretion of the Sailing School.
