2024 Battle of the Sound (BOTS) Sunday 30-Mar-2025
Northern Harbour Inter-Club ILCA/Laser Regatta
The Founder Clubs for the BOTS Regatta have decided this event, abandoned on November the 10th because of extreme weather must go on, with a re-sail to take place on the 30th March 2025. Northbridge SC are to remain the host with MHASC being the organising authority for this year because the racing will be on their course area.
After a number of early season strong wind issues, it is hoped this regatta, as a great closing event for the summer season will be blessed with more favourable winds!

To celebrate the day, all competitors and partners are invited to the NSC clubhouse immediately after sailing for a BBQ, drinks and prizegiving and to celebrate the day.
The event is a scratch racing, inter-club, two race competition between ILCA 7/Laser Standard and ILCA 6/Radial/ILCA 4/4.7 Lasers whose sailors are members of the four founding clubs:
- Manly Yacht Club
- Middle Harbour Amateur Sailing Club
- Northbridge Sailing Club and
- Vaucluse Yacht Club
The perpetual trophy is awarded to the club, taking the best 3 scores from each of the 4 clubs in each race for each Division. Individual prizes are awarded for up to the first 3 placegetters in each Division by adding up the scores for both races. Non-Northern Club members are welcome to enter and can win the individual place prizes but are excluded in determining the scores of the 4 clubs.
