The club commenced activities shortly after World War II and incorporated in 1968.
Prior to the construction of the clubhouse in 1968 racing was conducted from the beach immediately to the East of the current buildings.
The Club offers onsite storage in racks for a limited number of actively raced boats, and there sometimes is a waiting list.
A Canteen operates on Sundays, manned on a roster basis by sailing families. Sandwiches, soft drinks, pies and a variety of chocolate flavoured “energy foods” are available for sale. The canteen / kitchen is upstairs in the main club area, which offers picture perfect window views over the deck, Sailors Bay and Middle Harbour to Seaforth and beyond. No better place to spend a Sunday morning when the junior sailing / training is run.
The Club provide offers male and female changing facilities all recently refurbished.
Beach & Park
Nearby Clive Park has a small sheltered public beach. The Park, accessible from the end of Sailors Bay Road as well as the Club car park, offers swings and picnic grounds, and pleasant views over the sailing courses.
