Our Members

Our location at the end of the Northbridge peninsula means the club has a strong local flavour but we do have members spread over the North Shore and Northern Beaches areas.

There are about 200 families represented in a total membership of about 500 individuals.

The emphasis placed on junior training means many families join when their kids are about 8 or 9 to get them started in our junior program.
 

Running the Club

NSC is run by members for members. There are no paid staff and everyone is encouraged to become involved.

We ask all members to make themselves available for the canteen roster and to attend one working bee per season.

Other regular activities include Officer of the Day duty roster where members set up the club for a day's racing including laying marks and preparing the rescue boats. Another area of interest is participation in race starting and recording results. This can be quite a social activity particularly for parents of juniors wanting to be involved in their children's sport.
 

Boat Storage

The club has storage racks for Tasars, Lasers, Flying Ants, Flying 11's, Northbridge Juniors and Optimists.

Storage is limited and there is almost always a waiting list.   Contact the racking officer on racking@nsc.asn.au for more information.
